Draftsperson
Summary:
The Draftspersons will support the update, control, and organization of drawings related to the fire suppression system. The resources should be comfortable working with project teams, contractors, redlines, as-built information, field verification, and drawing/document control in a regulated or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain drawings related to the fire suppression system based on field information, redlines, contractor input, and project direction.
- Support field verification activities and coordinate with the Project Manager, contractors, facilities, EHS, and site stakeholders as needed.
- Prepare, revise, and organize AutoCAD drawings, diagrams, layouts, markups, and related technical documentation.
- Maintain drawing logs, revision history, document status trackers, and organized electronic files.
- Review contractor-provided redlines and support conversion into controlled drawing updates.
- Assist with identification of missing, outdated, inconsistent, or incomplete drawings.
- Support project documentation, drawing transmittals, comments, review cycles, and closeout packages.
- Participate in coordination meetings as required and provide status updates on assigned drawing deliverables.
- Follow site documentation, safety, and access requirements while supporting field or drawing verification activities.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a drafter, CAD technician, delineante, document/drawing control support, or similar role.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is required.
- Experience with infrastructure, utilities, fire protection, facilities, construction, or industrial drawings is strongly preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, manufacturing, or another regulated environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, redlines, layouts, and technical markups.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and documentation control discipline.
- Technical degree, associate degree, drafting certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
