Summary:
The Project Manager will manage mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression assignments in a capital project of a new hotel construction in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is a 3-years of full time on-site job in Puerto Rico and 3-years of hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and productivity to ensure successful outcomes.
- Conduct site visits and project meetings to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve field issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee project commissioning, testing, turnover, and closeout activities.
- Execute other project relates activities.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor´s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil)
- Experience: Over 3 years of direct related experience supporting capital projects
- Languages: Fully bilingual: Spanish and English
Work Methodology:
- Professional services contract.
- Full time job.
- 40 hours per week (Additional 4 hours only if project is running late; on Saturdays 5 hours)
- Full on-site job for 3 years.
- Hybrid job for years 4-6.
- Immediate hiring.
