Support a proactive, preventive safety culture by modeling safe behaviors and reinforcing expectations across site teams.
Support the site Process Safety Management (PSM) program by assisting with PHAs, MOC reviews, audits, and implementation of PSM elements related to assigned areas.
Monitor daily operations and conduct inspections, safety observations, and assessments to ensure compliance with internal EHS standards and external regulatory requirements, and support implementation of corrective actions.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, procedures, and policies related to occupational safety, health, environmental compliance, sustainability, and security, as directed by the EHS Manager.
Deliver effective EHS training to individuals, small groups, and large teams to build awareness and drive engagement.
Assist in the integration of EHS principles into operational processes by supporting site initiatives and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Maintain safety, health, and environmental KPIs and analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
Assist in the preparation and submission of environmental and safety permits and reports required by local, state, and federal agencies.
Assist in maintaining the site’s EHS Management System by participating in internal audits, updating SOPs, tracking corrective actions, and contributing to management reviews to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, when applicable.
Support regulatory programs such as SARA, EPCRA, HAZCOM, and industrial hygiene monitoring, with oversight from the EHS Manager.
Monitors HS&S performance of external contractors and establishes control requirements in case of deficiencies detected.
Facilitate EHS-related employee engagement activities, safety committee meetings, and communication campaigns.
Adapt to evolving regulations, changing site needs, and EHS team priorities.
Risk and Incident Management:
Support incident investigations related to consumer and customer complaints, accidents, safety incidents, occupational health, and the environment by gathering facts, contributing to root cause analysis, and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct or assist with risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and workplace inspections to proactively identify and address hazards.
Assist with Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses documentation and coordination, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Support emergency preparedness, response, and evacuation planning activities.
Provides technical expertise and solutions in the areas of injury & illness prevention, physical hazard assessment, safety chemical management and risk management plans (RMP), if applies.
Hospitality and Tourist Safety Responsibilities:
Collaborate with hospitality teams to ensure all visitor areas meet the highest safety and cleanliness standards, including routine inspections of public spaces and tour routes.
Develop and deliver safety briefings and orientation sessions for tourists and guests prior to site tours and events.
Establish and maintain emergency response protocols and evacuation procedures specific to tourist groups, ensuring clear signage and staff training.
Monitor crowd control and visitor movement during peak times and special events to prevent accidents or overcrowding.
Coordinate with guest services and security to promptly address any safety concerns, incidents, or medical emergencies involving tourists.
Ensure accessibility and safe accommodation for visitors with disabilities or special needs.
Use feedback from tourists regarding safety and hospitality, to continually improve visitor experience and safety measures.
Promote a welcoming, safety-focused culture among staff and contractors who interact with tourists, reinforcing customer care and hazard awareness.
Support the development of promotional materials that communicate site safety standards and hospitality practices to prospective visitors.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to public and tourist safety.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 5 cumulative years of experience in EHS Programs such as: Occupational Safety, Process Safety, Hazardous Waste Management, Wastewater management, Air Permitting, Environmental Engineering- Program Management in an industrial environment (e.g. OSHA, EPA, DOT, IATA, NFPA, etc.)
Skills:

Experience managing emergency response plans
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
Knowledge and experience in ISO45001/ISO14001.

Experience in FMCG industry, Spirit industry, Manufacturing or Auditing
