The main responsibilities of this resource will be:
Assess in deep the company Health Center, design suggested layouts of best use of the available space and resources, and support the implementation of approved changes following best practices. Minimize costs and unnecessary redundancy, maximize resources and utilization.
Revision, update, and implementation of a consolidated written Occupational Health and Safety program (Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)) for The Client which compiles and integrate all the company initiatives, sub-programs, activities, and resources into one consolidated procedure / program. This includes analysis of OSHA 300 reports and reported incidents/accidents.
Risk prevention and hazard control: Identify and assess workplace hazards, evaluate related company protocols to prevent accidents and occupational illnesses, and support drills and evacuation plants.
Regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national and international safety regulations (e.g. OSHA, ISO, etc.). Support the readiness for internal and external audits; also maintain documentation in order and submit applicable reports.
Training and Occupational Health and Safety Culture: Prepare and support training activities related to safe work practices, PPE usage, and emergency response. Promote a proactive occupational health and safety culture, the utilization of the company Health Center, and support awareness campaigns.
Ergonomics: Support the design and implementation of an Ergonomics Program which integrates diversity of initiatives and low-cost strategies to prevent occupational illnesses. Perform ergonomics evaluations and immediate modifications / recommendations for each assessed worker. Document evaluations using appropriate regulated tools.
Cross-functional collaboration: Act as a liaison between employees, contractors, management, HR, and EHS team to integrate the program into all company operations. Manage records and safety documentation. Perform other assigned and related activities. Work in conjunction with the HR and EHS leads and related partners to support other EHS and Industrial Hygiene duties.
Support other assigned tasks.
Requirements:
Bachelor´s or master´s degree in Science: Environmental, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene
3-5 years of direct related experience in regulated manufacturing industries
