SUMMARY:
Ware looking for an experienced Lean Manufacturing Expert to manage NG manufacturing/Packaging continuous improvement initiatives for a pharmaceutical industry in Puerto Rico.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for optimized workflows.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and GMP guidelines.
- Train and mentor employees on Lean principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyze manufacturing and packaging processes, identifying bottlenecks and recommending solutions.
- Utilize data analytics to track performance metrics and drive decision-making.
- Support automation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance productivity.
- Provide strategic recommendations for cost reduction, waste elimination, and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Support other related activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master´s or Doctorate degree in Science or Engineering
- Over 10 years of direct related experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices industries
- Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Preferable Green belt/Black Belt certification
- Strong experience performing Value stream mapping
- Strong experience managing Packaging line time studies.
- Develop/ Propose Packaging line standard process improvements,
- Executes Lean Six Sigma projects, distinguishes between DMAIC, DFSS, PDCA, Kaizens and Kaizen Event opportunities to reduce defects, variability and/or cycle time, increase yield, rates, among others, delivering controls to maintain sustainable results.

WORK METHODOLOGY:
- Professional Services agreement
- Hybrid project - Presence in Puerto Rico is required
